Lazio has come to a mutual agreement with Joaquin Correa regarding a contract extension. Prolonging his previous agreement by an additional five years, the 25-year-old Argentine has penned a new deal until the summer of 2024. This was expected to be announced for a few months; management has finally sorted out a deal that will keep their star in Rome. After a missed penalty kick in the last league match against Bologna – and subsequent criticisms – this will give Correa a valid reason to smile and work even harder to be decisive for Lazio and the Argentina National Team. Below, the official statement.
“S.S. Lazio announces that it has renewed and extended the sports performance contract of the player Joaquin Correa until 06/30/2024.”
