After having officially announcing the lengthening of both Felipe Caicedo and Joaquin Correa, Lazio aims to extend Luis Alberto’s contract.
As reported earlier in the month, the Spanish Magician’s current deal expires in 2022 and he currently makes €1.8 million + bonuses per year. This is the least out of all the big stars in the team and most definitely the main talking point.
Meetings were held between management and the footballer back in July and there is reported to be a mutual desire to continue negotiations in the coming months; a productive season could see Luis Alberto make up to double his current wage. And as reported by Radiosei today, this news was confirmed and even defined: an agreement was made between both parties in the summer to start talks after this 2019/20 season has come to a conclusion.
Therefore, it seems as if Luis Alberto’s future is undecided; if a considerable offer from a Spanish side arises, Laziali may, unfortunately, see the player depart.
