Lazio signed promising 16-year-old winger Raúl Moro Prescoli from Barcelona on the last day of the 2019 Summer Transfer Window. A rather surprising move, Moro – due to FIFA bureaucracy – has not been able to play for the Biancocelesti’s Primavera side.
However, this past weekend, the Spaniard did play in the training match between the senior team and the youth team, scoring one goal and assisting Bobby Adekanye for another.
According to Radiosei, new details have been brought to light regarding his transfer. In fact, in his contract with the Blaugrana, there was a release clause but Lazio did not pay it – Claudio Lotito preferred to seek an agreement with the Catalan club to not deteriorate any relations.
Lazio signed Moro for about €8 million on a three-year contract (the maximum contract length for youth players) which will be extended once he turns 18.
A profile similar to that of Portuguese talent Pedro Neto – for technical and physical characteristics – he has a substantial difference: Moro seems to have already entered into the good graces of Simone Inzaghi.
