The 11th Edition of the Globe Soccer Awards is just around the corner. The event – held on the 29th of December 2019 in Dubai – involves annual awards which are given for excellence in football in the categories of ‘Best Men’s Player of the Year’, ‘Best Women’s Player of the Year’, ‘Best Revelation Player’, ‘Best Club of the Year’, ‘Best Coach of the Year’, ‘Best Agent of the Year’, and ‘Best Sporting Director of the Year’. The last aforementioned category is where Lazio is involved: Igli Tare is one of five nominees to win the ‘Best Sporting Director of the Year’ award. In addition to the Albanian, the other four nominees are Andrea Berta (Atletico Madrid), Michael Edwards (Liverpool FC), Eric Abidal (FC Barcelona), and Marc Overmars (AFC Ajax). Up there with the best of the best, it is rightfully deserved.
