Lazio vs Udinese: Prediction

This match takes place after Lazio won 2-1 in Emilia-Romagna against Sassuolo. It was a deserved result for the Biancocelesti who looked the stronger side for most of the match. Ciro Immobile continues to lead the way up front, scoring his league-leading 15th goal of the season. While the Italian continues to impress for Lazio, it was Felipe Caicedo who won the match for the Biancocelesti. The striker, who had come off the bench as a substitute, scored in the 91st minute to help Lazio steal the three points from Sassuolo. Lazio has been in good form as of late as they have won five straight and are unbeaten in their last eight matches. Udinese’s last victory against Lazio dates back to September 2014, when they won 1-0.

As for the Bianconeri, they started their season winning one of their first three matches. The team’s troubles have yet to change as they have been extremely poor and inconsistent since then with three wins, five losses, and two draws. Due to their inconsistency and poor form of the squad this season, Udinese decided to relieve Igor Tudor of his duties and has been replaced by an interim manager, Luca Gotti. In their recent match against Sampdoria, Ilija Nestorovski opened the scoring for Udinese in the first half. Although taking the lead in the match, Sampdoria scored two goals afterward to win the match 2-1; Manolo Gabbiadini scored late into the injury time of the first half and Gaston Ramirez converted on a penalty kick in the second half.

Lazio is seven points behind Inter in third place while Udinese is tied with Milan and Torino at 14 points for 13th spot in the standings.

Prediction: Lazio 2-0 Udinese
