Hellas Verona full-back Davide Faraoni has made a surprising statement surrounding presumed interest from Lazio in Verona newspaper L’Arena.
”I have had requests from Lazio, Roma, and Inter, but I’ve always thought about playing and that’s it. Football is crazy. It takes three or four games played well and then you are on everyone’s radar. Verona has given me so much. For now, the club, including myself, must think only of salvation in the Serie A.”
A former Biancocelesti Primavera player, Faraoni left Lazio in 2010 to join Inter. He then continued his career between Serie A, Serie B, and England.
This season, the 28-year-old has played in 17 matches for the Gialloblu, scoring two goals and providing three assists.
Hellas Verona currently sits in the twelfth spot in the top flight of Italian football.
