According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Davide Di Gennaro is close to moving to Serie B side Ascoli this January.
The former Cagliari midfielder was acquired by the Biancocelesti in the summer of 2017 on a free transfer. However, after not having a place in the side, he transferred to Salernitana where he has failed to impress since – his contract expires on 30.06.2020.
This past summer, the Italian 31-year-old midfielder moved to Juve Stabia on a one year loan from Lazio – the same club that Luca Germoni and Alessandro Rossi transferred to. However, with the Vespe sitting in 14th place and Di Gennaro only having eight appearances thus far, the player’s agent has started to search for other possibilities.
For this to occur, however, Lazio and Juve Stabia will have to agree on canceling the previous loan agreement.
