Lazio vs Sampdoria: Prediction

This match takes place after Lazio won 1-0 in Rome against Napoli. It was a hard-fought win for the Biancocelesti as it was one of their weaker performances this season. Ciro Immobile continues to lead the way up front, scoring his league-leading 20th goal of the season. The Italian continues to impress for Lazio, as he’s scored the Biancocelesti’s last three goals with two being game-winners. Lazio has been in good form as of late as they have won ten straight and are unbeaten in their last thirteen matches. Sampdoria’s last victory against Lazio dates back to April 2016, when they won 2-1.

As for the Blucerchiati, they started their season winning one of their first seven matches. Their poor start to the season forced Sampdoria to fire Eusebio Di Francesco. Claudio Ranieri took over as manager and has since done a good job with the club. The Italian has turned the ship around and, in his time the club has won four, drawn four and lost four. The club was in the relegation zone. However, since the arrival of Ranieri, they now find themselves five points above Genoa from relegation. In their recent match against Brescia, Jhon Chancellor opened the scoring for Udinese in the first half. Although falling behind in the match, Sampdoria followed up with five straight goals to win the match 5-1; Karol Linetty opened the scoring in the first half while Jakub Jankto scored the second goal of the match which was all that Sampdoria needed to win their match against Brescia.

Prediction: Lazio 3-1 Sampdoria
