Despite being a part of Lazio’s Serie A squad list, Tiago Casasola has never stepped foot on the pitch and has been rarely seen on the bench as an option for the Biancocelesti.
The 24-year-old, who was acquired by Lazio in January of 2019, was set to make another return to Salernitana this season. However, this move broke down over ‘personal reasons’ with the right back.
Clearly not a part of Simone Inzaghi’s plans, the club has been trying to find an alternative for the Argentine; although Cosenza, Empoli, and Cremonese showed interest, Crotone seems to be the club who have won the battle for his signature.
The deal is close to being finalized – it will be a six-month loan with the possibility of making the transfer definitive if the Rossoblu obtain promotion to the Serie A.
Crotone currently sits in third place in the second tier of Italian football. They have 34 points from 21 matches thus far.
