Lazio vs Hellas Verona: Prediction

This match takes place after Lazio won 5-1 in Rome against SPAL. It was a hard-fought win for the Biancocelesti and one of their stronger performances thus far this season. Simone Inzaghi’s side are in terrific form; they are unbeaten in their last sixteen matches. Ciro Immobile continues to lead the way up front, scoring his league-leading 24th and 25th goals of the season. The Italian continues to impress for Lazio, as he’s scored eight goals in four of their last five matches. The striker has also contributed three game winners in the past five Serie A matches.

In Hellas Verona’s recent match against Milan, Davide Faraoni opened the scoring for the Gialloblu in the first half. Although leading in the match, Milan followed up with a goal from Hakan Calhanoglu; despite the Rossoneri being up a man a for nearly a quarter of the match, they failed to capitalize, and the two sides settled for a 1-1 draw. The Gialloblu started their Serie A season winning just three of their first ten matches. However, since this average start, the club have turned it around as they sit in ninth place behind Milan and Parma. Although Verona are undefeated in their past five matches, their last victory against Lazio dates back to December 2011, when they won 4-1.

Prediction: Lazio 2-0 Hellas Verona
