Danilo Cataldi Returns to Group Training

After hard work in yesterday’s 0-0 draw with Hellas Verona, in which Simone Inzaghi’s Lazio were unfortunate not to come away with three points against an admittedly strong Veronese side, the team are back in training today. And there are several updates in regards to the condition of injured players Danilo Cataldi and Joaquin Correa.

Both Cataldi and Correa were absent in yesterday’s match and are facing a fight to be fit for the clash against Parma. It is worth noting, however, that a key clash against Inter Milan in the following week means that Simone Inzaghi will not be rushing anyone back into the side if they are not fully fit. Cataldi returned to the group training session today, in which he wore green socks to differentiate himself from the other players in case of further injury. Correa, meanwhile, participated in activities with the club’s athletic trainer.

Today’s session, as has been reported by La Lazio Siamo Noi, suggests that Cataldi is in fact ahead of Correa in terms of recovery. However, both should return fully in time for the game with Inter. Tomorrow, Felipe Caicedo will participate in fitness tests after what appears to be  just cramp in his calf and nothing more serious.
