Lazio Meet With Agents of Hellas Verona’s Marash Kumbulla

Marash Kumbulla has quickly emerged as a real hot prospect for Hellas Verona. The 19-year-old defender came through the youth system at the Veronese club and has already earned himself a call up to the Albanian national team, making his debut in October 2019.

Chelsea, Inter Milan and Juventus have all been linked with the Ital-Albanian starlet but the latest reports from Radiosei suggest that Lazio Sporting Director Igli Tare met with Kumbulla’s agents prior to the match between the two clubs during the week.

Reportedly, Chelsea scouts were also present at the match and Napoli are said to have already had a €20m plus bonuses offer accepted by Hellas. However, Kumbulla’s agents do not want to make a decision hastily and will leave it up to the defender himself to decide on his future. The purpose of Tare’s meeting with his agents was to lay the foundations for a possible move, should the Biancocelesti be able to make a more attractive financial offer to Hellas than their competition.

Hellas value Kumbulla at around €20 million. In the case that Lazio qualify for next season’s Champions League, he will definitely be affordable and would add a new element to the somewhat inconsistent defence.
