Prediction

This match takes place after Lazio won 3-2 at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in Genoa. It was a hard-fought win for the Biancocelesti and one of their stronger performances thus far this season. Simone Inzaghi’s side is in terrific form; they are unbeaten in their last twenty matches. Ciro Immobile continues to lead the way up front, scoring his league-leading 27th goal this season. The Italian continues to impress for Lazio, as he’s scored four goals in three of their last five matches. The striker has shown great form and will look to continue his pursuit of Gonzalo Higuain Serie A record of 36 goals.

In Bologna’s recent match against Milan, Stefano Okaka opened the scoring for Udinese in the first half. Although leading in the match, the Rossoblu scored in added time to tie the game and leave the Renato Dall’Ara with a point. Roberto Palacio scored to help Bologna secure a point after a disappointing match from the Rossoblu. The club will look to rebound as Lazio have shown great form this season and are unbeaten in their last twenty matches. The Rossoblu started their Serie A season winning three of their first five matches. The club has been able to continue their strong start as they sit two points back of Napoli for a spot into Europa League.

In all, both sides are strong and have been performing above expectations this season. Bologna is winless in their last two matches after winning three straight, however, Lazio will look to use their motivation positively to come away with an important three points. At this stage of the season, every win is a step closer to the elusive place in next season’s Champions League whilst at just one point off the top spot, it is not too late to be dreaming of a surprise Scudetto win. This being said, Inzaghi’s side must prioritize taking things just one step at a time and will, hopefully, benefit come May.

Prediction: Lazio 2-1 Bologna
