According to Italian-based Lazio fan radio station Radiosei, Lazio is ready to offer Pedro a long-term contract to join the Biancocelesti in Rome. This is said to be worth approximately €3.5 million per season for three to four years.
Currently owned by Chelsea, Sporting Director Igli Tare has been following the player since the summer of 2018; this summer he will be available on a free transfer and Lazio does not want to miss out on this opportunity to potentially sign the experienced 33-year-old attacker.
Formerly owned by Barcelona – where he spent 11 years of his career – the player moved on to the Premier League in 2015 to join the London-based club, where he has since spent the past five years. During this tenure, he has made 201 appearances, scored 43 goals, and provided 28 assists; he has won three titles including the Premier League, FA Cup, and UEFA Europa League during his Chelsea stay.
The 32-year-old confirmed his departure from the club to Cadena SER, Spain’s premier radio network, revealing he will end his time at Stamford Bridge this summer.
“I’m terminating my contract, but right now it’s not the most important thing, nor have I stopped to think about it.”
