Ricardo Kishna, who was signed by Lazio in 2015 but has only made 21 appearances since with the club, has a contract with the Biancocelesti which is set to expire this summer. Speaking to Dutch television news service RTL Nieuws, he commented on his injury, the club, and his opinion regarding salary cuts.
“I was in the United States to recover from my knee injury; I had difficulty getting back to Holland due to COVID-19. But now I’m with my girlfriend safe at home in Amsterdam. I have a contract with Lazio, but I haven’t talked to the club yet. There is talk of all the player’s contracts being automatically renewed for a few more months, but we’ll see. I have some money set aside, it’s not a problem. If I have to cut my salary I’m ready to do it, I can’t speak poorly of the club. They renewed my deal when I was sidelined due to injury; I am grateful to Lazio.”
