Lazio has announced that an agreement has been reached between the club and the picturesque municipality of Auronzo di Cadore, for the Serie A outfit to continue their yearly pre-season retreat to the region. Below, the official announcement.
“S.S. Lazio, Media Sport Event Group, and the Municipality of Auronzo di Cadore are pleased to announce an agreement for the extension (until the 2021/22 season) of the Biancocelesti’s annual summer pre-season retreat to the enchanting scenery of the ‘Three Peaks of Lavaredo'”.
“When Lazio arrive ahead of the 2021/22 season, it will mean the club have been coming to the Venetian town for 15 years. A strong bond, this has been accomplished thanks to the work carried out by the club with local authorities; this includes the Councilor for Sport of the Municipality of Auronzo, Enrico Zandegiacomo Seidelucio, and the Media Sport Event Group of Gianni Lacché, who strongly believed in this sport and tourism initiative.”
“A ‘UNESCO World Heritage Site’, this location has state-of-the-art sports facilities; Auronzo has become the ideal location for the club’s annual pre-season retreat.”
“This extension has particular significance, given the historical health emergency that the whole nation is experiencing, as if to communicate a message of optimism and hope.”
