As reported by Lazio fan radio station Radiosei, Paris Saint-Germain’s Jean-Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has been offered to Lazio. Managed German Sports Agency ROGON, this agency is one which Igli Tare has been very close to in the past. This is why, as Lazio searches the market for an attacker and as they are set to play in the UEFA Champions League next season, they have proposed the player to the Biancocelesti.
With Coronavirus continuing to wreak havoc across the world, a lot of uncertainty has started to brew in the football world. This is regarding how the remainder of each league will come to a conclusion and also how the summer transfer window (and consequent winter transfer window) will operate. As it stands, the idea is for each league is to resume play when appropriate and safe, with the summer transfer window being extended all the way to December. However, with so much doubt, there is a lot of confusion for players who have contracts expiring this summer; one of these individuals is the 31-year-old PSG attacker.
Choupo-Moting has a contract with the Ligue 1 side that is set to expire this summer. Despite the side having the option to extend it for another year, they will not be, and as a result, the Cameroonian will be free to join another club and start a new adventure for the 2020/21 season. Capable of playing as a center-forward or a second striker, the player would be an ideal signing for Simone Inzaghi. However, Igli Tare has other plans.
The Albanian Sporting Director has thanked ROGON for considering him and Lazio, but he has given no signs that any sort of negotiation could really take off. Therefore, Choupo-Moting will have to look for employment elsewhere.
