Mundo Deportivo: Barcelona Keen on Luiz Felipe

Luiz Felipe is becoming a core part of the defensive set-up at Lazio and it is no surprise that plenty of big clubs have reportedly registered some sort of interest in the Brazilian center-back. In fact, Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo published a list of the top transfer targets of Catalan giants FC Barcelona; Luiz Felipe was present amongst the likes of Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar, Napoli’s Fabian Ruiz, and Inter’s Lautaro Martinez. The Spanish outlet also writes that Barcelona is keen on two other central defenders, Manchester City‘s Aymeric Laporte and RB Leipzig‘s Dayot Upamecano.

Therefore, Felipe is presumed to be a lower-cost alternative to these two options but, knowing Lazio president Claudio Lotito, signing the Brazilian will not be an easy task for the La Liga side. Luiz Felipe currently has a contract expiring in 2022, with a possible renewal reportedly on Lotito’s to-do list. Therefore, a considerable sum would likely have to be offered by Barcelona in order to secure the young Lazio defender and the Biancocelesti will likely do everything in their power to keep him in Rome.
