Speaking to Tutto Mercato Web, Sevilla’s Franco Vázquez – who has been a reported target of Lazio since 2018 – discussed his future, the Serie A, and a potential move to the Biancocelesti.
“I still have one year left on my contract. I have been at Sevilla for four seasons; it feels like I am at home. I like the city, and the club thinks big. I don’t know what will happen regarding my future; when COVID-19 passes, I will evaluate whether to continue playing, or to leave the club.”
“I have great memories of Italy, especially in Palermo, where I played. I like Serie A; Yes, in the future, I would like to return.”
“Joaquin Correa? We know each other from when we played together at Sevilla. His comment about me joining Lazio was a joke, I don’t know if Lazio really wants me or not. But they are a great team and it would be terrific to play for them.”
Vázquez is currently 31-years-old, with a contract expiring in the summer of 2021 with the La Liga side. Since joining the club in 2016, he has made 164 appearances, scored 25 goals, and provided 19 assists.
