According to Lazio fan radio station Radiosei, the Biancocelesti are said to be interested in Wolfsburg’s Robin Knoche to reinforce their backline this summer.
Currently 27-years-old, the German has played for Die Wölfe since 2005, when he joined Wolfburg Youth. Since then, he has continuously climbed the ranks to enter the first team (2012), where he has remained ever since; he has acquired a total of 223 appearances with Wolfsburg in all competitions
Although yet to be called to the German national team – due to the immense amount of competition that manager Joachim Löw has to choose from – the central defender is physically strong, tall, and experienced. In addition, he has a contract expiring with Wolfsburg in the summer of 2020.
Therefore, if the player and club are unable to come to an agreement about his future, this could represent a low-cost/low-risk opportunity for Lazio.
