According to Italian football website Calciomercato, Lazio have joined Roma, Fiorentina, Atalanta, and Milan in the race to sign Genoa defender Paolo Ghiglione.

Currently 23-years-old, the Italian joined the Rossoblu from Milan in the summer of 2012. Following two years of playing with their youth sides, he signed a five-year contract (until 2021) and was consequentially loaned out for three consecutive seasons to three different clubs in Italy; he played for Spal for the 2016/17 season, Pro Vercelli for the 2017/18 season, and Frosinone for the 2018/19 season.

Returning to Genoa ahead of the 2019/20 campaign, he has since become a starter for the club. He has made 22 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing five assists.

Primarily deployed as a right wing-back, Ghiglione is also capable of playing on the left flank; a position in which Lazio needs to reinforce ahead of the 2020/21 season. As he is valued at just €3-4 million, Paolo could be the perfect solution for Simone Inzgahi’s side.
