According to Lazio focused radio station Radiosei, club President Claudio Lotito and the club’s players have come to an agreement with regard to cutting salaries.
Discussions surrounding this topic first occurred May 18, 2020. However, as there was still some distance between the two parties, nothing was finalized. Now, less than a month later on June 2, 2020, they have found a solution; to cut player salaries for the months of March and April 2020.
In addition, Lotito has promised the players a very rewarding bonus for their performance season, especially if they are to appear in the 2020/21 edition of the UEFA Champions League; there is talk of €10 million to be distributed amongst the players.
