Lazio Enters Asian Market, Joins Weibo and WeChat

In an official statement published on its website, S.S. Lazio announced that they have entered the Asian market by joining Weibo and WeChat. Below is the complete announcement.

As part of the internationalization process of its brand, S.S. Lazio announces the creation of accounts on Weibo and WeChat; major social media platforms in China.

In collaboration with East Media, a subsidiary of Triboo who specializes in digital marketing for the Chinese and Russian market (with offices in Milan and Shanghai), the Capital club opens its WeChat account (拉齐奥 足球 俱乐部), Weibo account (Lazio 拉齐奥 足球 俱乐部), and the Chinese version of its website.

Through these new profiles, S.S.Lazio will offer a global overview of the Biancoceleste world, with daily training information, on the competitions the club participates in, and the various activities of the team, enriched by video and marketing content for the many Chinese fans who have never stopped following the Biancoceleste team (as demonstrated by the crowds in Beijing and Shanghai for the 2009 and 2015 editions of the Supercoppa Italiana which featured Lazio).

Claudio Lotito then spoke about entering the Asian market.

Lazio is showing that it strongly wants international growth; the opening of these new communication channels and the multilingual version of the website (which will also be officially published shortly), is aimed towards improving the direct link with the Biancocelesti supporters from all over the world. All this only increases the value of the Lazio brand and strengthens its presence in the global market.
