Lazio have officially announced that they will be teaming up with the Italian Red Cross (Croce Rossa Italiana, CRI) for their latest project titled ‘You Will Never Be Alone’ (‘Tu Non Sarai Mai Sola’).
This initiative was founded to support the activities of the organization in helping the most vulnerable members of society; especially during Phase Two of Italy’s lockdown due to COVID-19.
Since Biancocelesti supporters will be unable to attend their club’s matches when the 2019/20 Serie A season restarts, the club will be allowing fans worldwide to virtually purchase a seat at the Stadio Olimpico. This will occur by sending in a 75 cm x 45 cm photo of themselves, which will then be signed by Captain Senad Lulic (once enlargened), before being placed in the seat of their choice.
Through this project, Lazio hopes to show how the world of football can (and should) be used as a tool for dissemination and inclusion.
