Kim Min-Jae: Beijing Guoan Defender Offered to Lazio

According to Radiosei, South Korea international and Beijing Sinobo Guoan F.C. center back Kim Min-Jae has been offered to Lazio by his agency Footballade.

Born in 1996, the 23-year-old spent his youth career playing for Suwon Technical High School (2012-2015) and Yonsei University (2016), before signing with South Korean third-tier side Gyeongju Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power in the summer of 2016.

Following a year and a half spell at the club, he was acquired by K League 1 club Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors at the age of 20 in the winter of 2017; he won the K League ‘Rookie of the Year’ award in both the 2017 and 2018 seasons, which resulted in him being purchased for €5.25 million by Guoan in 2019. Since then, the defender has made 34 appearances for ‘The Imperial Guards’.

A towering central defender at 1.90 meters (6.23 feet), Kim Min-Jae has attracted interest from clubs worldwide, especially due to his performances with the South Korea national team (30 caps). In addition to Lazio, Watford, Everton, Southampton, Porto, RB Leipzig, and PSV Eindhoven are all said to be following the player, with his current club requesting a fee around €10 to €13 million to allow him to leave.
