According to Italian sports outlet Tutto Salernitana, Cittadella are interested in signing Lazio striker Diomandè Yann Cedric Gondo – simply referred to as Cedric Gondo – who is currently on loan at Serie B side Salernitana.
Signed by the Biancocelesti in the summer of 2019 as a free agent (following his contract expiry with F.C. Rieti) on a four-year deal, the 23-year-old was directly loaned to the Granata for the entirety of the 2019/20 season, where he has since managed to score three goals and provide seven assists in 21 total appearances.
Since Lazio will not have the space for Cedric Gondo in the first-team squad next season, it is likely that Lazio President Claudio Lotito will look to loan him out for another year or two; there is a possibility that Cittadella may be the team he ends up at for the 2020/21 season instead, of Salernitana for a second time.
