Key Takeaways

Lazio find themselves in poor form, winless in their last four matches and have two wins in their past seven matches.

Ciro Immobile continues to lead the league in scoring with 29 goals but since the resumption of the league, the Italian has been in a slump. He has scored twice in the last seven games and is struggling to finish in the final third.

In 62 games between the two clubs, Juventus has won 34, drawn 12 and lost 16, giving the Bianconeri a heavy advantage over the Biancocelesti.

Juventus have lost twice in the past 26 Serie A matches against Lazio.

Prediction

This match takes place after Lazio tied 0-0 at the Dacia Arena against Udinese. It was a deserved result for the Biancocelesti who will look to build off their recent performance. Immobile continues to lead the league in scoring with 29 goals but will need to make due without Luis Alberto. The midfielder picked up an injury along with Jony and both will be forced to miss the game against Juventus. Lazio’s injuries continue to pile up and make Inzaghi’s job more difficult against a deep squad such as the Bianconeri. Udinese came within inches of winning the game in the dying moments of the match as Rodrigo de Paul hit the left post. Udinese’s last victory against Lazio dated back to September 2014 and that draught will continue after their 0-0 draw.

As for the Bianconeri, they are winless in their past three matches. In their recent two matches, Juventus had to score late to salvage a point.  The team has shown signs of inconsistency and poor form this season, yet continue to find ways to win. In their recent match against Sassuolo, Juventus squandered a two-goal lead and had to come back late after conceding three straight goals.  Danilo and Gonzalo Higuain scored in the first minutes for the Bianconeri while Filip Djuricic, Domenico Berardi and Francesco Caputi scored three straight goals to give the Neroverdi the lead. Alex Sandro scored in the 64th minute to tie 3-3 against Sassuolo. The left-back has struggled to stay fit this season as he’s battled constant injuries and has been out of form. The squad continues to adjust under new manager Sarri, however, the Italian has done a decent job in his first season with the Bianconeri.

Prediction: Juventus 3-0 Lazio
