Lazio vs Cagliari

Despite the Biancocelesti having the better chances, five more corners, and 67% ball possession, after the first 45 minutes of play, the Rossoblu led 1-0 thanks to a Giovanni Simeone goal that came right at the end of the half.

However, just two minutes into the second half (in the 47′ to be exact), the Biancocelesti levelled off of a brilliant Sergej Milinkovic-Savic volley.

The play started when Lazio took a quick free-kick from inside their own half in the 46′. Marco Parolo picked up the ball and travelled out to the left flank, passing to Francesco Acerbi.

Acerbi then dished the ball back off to the last man (Luiz Felipe), who then gave it back to Parolo. The Italian then made an advanced pass forward to Luis Alberto, who quickly played Acerbi who was touching the left sideline.

The left-footed central defender then played a pass centrally to Jony, who held off Paolo Faragò, before playing the ball to Luis Alberto; the Spaniard played Acerbi (who was touching the left sideline) once again quickly, who then found Jony making a run down the line.

He put in a first-time cross towards Felipe Caicedo, and although it was cleared by Lykogiannis, the ball landed bounced right out to Milinkovic-Savic (at the top of the 18-yard box) who hit a first time volleyed effort past Alessio Cragno and into the top right of the net.
