According to Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, newly promoted Serie A side Benevento are interested in signing Lazio starlet Nicolò Armini on loan for the 2020/21 season.
Recently signing a contract extension with the Biancocelesti (that will keep him in Rome until at least 2023), the club and the player’s agent (Mino Raiola) are said to have since been on the search to find an ideal team for the 19-year-old defender to be loaned out to next season to acquire first-team experience.
Although the most likely option was reported to be Serie B side Salernitana – as Biancocelesti club President Claudio Lotito is also a part-owner in the Granata – Corriere dello Sport states that a meeting has been scheduled between the Sporting Directors of Lazio (Igli Tare) and Benevento (Pasquale Foggia) to discuss the possibility of Armini’s transfer.
