Luis Alberto: Lazio Star Set to Sign Contract Extension

According to Radiosei, Luis Alberto will sign a Lazio contract extension by the end of this week, which will see him make €2.7 million + bonuses per season and remain in Rome for an additional three years (until 2025).

This 2019/20 season, the Spanish midfielder has made 39 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing 17 assists. He currently leads the Serie A in the assist department and has had a tremendous influence on the success Simone Inzaghi’s side has had to date.

The Laziali originally reported that Lazio was working on a contract extension for Luis Alberto back in October 2019. This was as a result of the player’s current deal expiring in 2022 and the fact that he currently makes just €1.8 million + bonuses per year; the least out of all the big stars in the team.

However, despite the mutual desire between the player, his agent, and the club to continue playing in Rome at the Stadio Olimpico, an agreement was said to have been made between the parties to re-initiate talks regarding his contract once the 2019/20 season started to come to a conclusion; now, it is only a matter of time before the official announcement arrives.
