According to The Sun, Lazio are one of 15 clubs interested in Bournemouth and Norway international striker Joshua King. In addition to the Biancocelesti, Paris Saint-Germain, Roma, Newcastle, Burnley, Everton, and Brighton are some of the other known interested parties; this is a result of the Cherries’ relegation to the Championship (the second tier of English football) for the 2020/21 season, following an 18th-placed finish in the 2019/20 edition of the Premier League.
As it stands, the 28-year-old has a contract with Bournemouth until 30.06. 2021 and the club values him at around €30 million. Despite wanting to keep the striker, as King wants to continue playing for a club in one of the top five leagues (England, Italy, Spain, Germany, France), the Cherries may be forced to sell him this summer or risk him leaving for a lot less (possibly even on a free transfer) in one year’s time. This past season, King tallied six goals and four assists in 26 Premier League appearances.
