Silvio Proto Set to Have Surgery on Arm: The Details

Silvio Proto looks to be on his way out of Lazio this summer. Multiple news sources from Belgium have confirmed that the 37-year-old goalkeeper is set to have surgery on his arm that will keep him out for three to four months. This is an injury that has supposedly lingered from his days at Anderlecht (when he broke his arm in May 2014 in the final match of the season) and it looks like it could possibly end his career.

With that being said the Biancocelesti have set their eyes on two possible candidates to back up first-choice goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha. These two keepers are Sevilla’s Sergio Rico and Sassuolo’s Andrea Consigli.
