According to Turkish news outlet Ajansspor, Fenerbahçe have enquired about the possibility of signing Lazio defender Bastos.
Signed by the Biancocelesti in the summer of 2016 from Russian Premier League side FC Rostov, the Angola international has made 88 total appearances for the club (62 matches in Serie A, 16 matches in the UEFA Europa League and 10 matches in the Coppa Italia).
While the 29-year-old has had a fair amount of praise throughout his time in Rome, he has definitely had an equal amount of criticism, primarily due to his lack of consistency. As a result, with a contract expiring in the summer of 2021, Lazio are said to be looking to move on from Bastos this summer; selling him to Turkish Süper Lig side Fenerbahçe could be a possibility.
As it stands, the Istanbul-based side have made an offer of approximately €2 million. While this figure is lower than what President Claudio Lotito has requested for the player (€5 million), there is a high probability that this deal goes occurs; especially due to the fact that Lazio are in close contact with Fenerbahçe (as both parties continue to work on finalizing the transfer of Vedat Muriqi).
