According to Italian Football News Reporter Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, Lazio have once again contacted Hellas Verona regarding Marash Kumbulla. The Biancocelesti’s official interest in the 20-year-old dates back to June 2020. However, as the club did not want to meet – and did not agree upon – the Gialloblu’s evaluation of the central defender, the two parties reached a standstill; until now.
With recent reports that Inter have dropped out of the race to sign the player (due to a lack of financial capability), Lazio President Claudio Lotito is said to be trying to negotiate with Hellas Verona President Maurizio Setti to try and make this potential transfer a reality. However, as Setti has repeatedly said in the past, Kumbulla could remain in Verona for another year if his demands are not met.
