According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, Lazio have reached an agreement with Francesco Acerbi for the extension of his contract with the Biancocelesti. As it stands, the central defender’s current deal expires in 2023 and he makes €1.5 million + bonuses per year. The new offer that both the club and the player have agreed upon is until 2025; this will also include an adjustment to his salary, in which the 32-year-old will make ~€2.3 million + bonuses per year (to reach a possible total of ~€3 million per year).
Following the international break, by which Acerbi spoke out in an ill-mannered form regarding rumours about his future and salary at the club, a meeting took place (in Rome) between his Agent (Federico Pastorello), Sporting Director Igli Tare, and President Claudio Lotito. The communication of the player’s problem with the club was clarified at this meeting; the common desire was to work on finding a solution that satisfied all parties involved, which seems to have now occurred. An official announcement is pending.
