According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, FC Porto and Portugal U21 captain Diogo Queirós has been proposed to Lazio by his Agent, Jorge Mendes. While the Portuguese Liga NOS club values him at €10 million, the transfer fee is reported to be negotiable. However, while Sporting Director Igli Tare is said to be interested in the 21-year-old central defender, Manager Simone Inzaghi is said to prefer a more experienced candidate to reinforce his backline.
Diogo Queirós started his football career with Leixões SC before moving to Porto in 2010. Since then, he has played for the club’s youth teams before being sent on loan to Jupiler Pro League side Royal Excel Mouscron for the 2019/20 season. He made 21 appearances in all competitions, all of which he started.
