Mohamed Fares: Stall in Transfer to Lazio Explained

Despite taking his medicals at the Paideia Clinic in Rome on September 16, 2020, Mohamed Fares is yet to be announced as a Lazio player. While several rumours have been spread since then as to why this delay has occurred, the truth has finally been revealed.

Mohamed Fares / Spal

According to Radiosei, there were issues between the club and the left wing-back (with regard to bonuses and payment methods) which halted his transfer to Rome. However, after a phone call today between Biancocelesti President Claudio Lotito and his Agent (Mino Raiola), everything has been resolved.

The Spal and Algeria international will join the Biancocelesti for a fee of €8 million, in addition to a possible €1 million in bonuses. He will sign a five-year contract worth €1.5 million (including bonuses) per season with Lazio.
