According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, Lazio are evaluating the possibility of signing Sampdoria attacker Gastón Ramírez, who has just one year remaining on his current contract with the Blucerchiati (30.06.2021). It is already known that the 29-year-old Uruguayan will not sign a contract extension with the Ligurian club; however, it is important to note that the Biancocelesti face competition from fellow Serie A side Torino and Saudi Professional League side Al-Shabab FC for the attacker’s signature.
Ramírez grew up playing with CA Peñarol before making a switch to Italy in 2010 (when he joined Bologna). However, after just two years, he was acquired by English Premier League side Southampton; he also played with Hull City and Middlesbrough during his time in England before making a return to Italy in 2017 with Sampdoria.
