UEFA Champions League: Amazon Interested in Acquiring Broadcasting Rights in Italy

After a 13-year absence, Lazio will return to the UEFA Champions League this 2020/21 season.

An exciting time for Laziali worldwide, to be able to watch the Biancocelesti in action (in the European competition) in Italy, one would have to have a Sky membership (as they currently hold the broadcasting rights in the European country). However, this could possibly change in the near future.

In addition to the British corporation, Mediaset, Rai, Dazn, TIM, Eurosport, and Amazon have also entered the race to acquire the broadcasting rights of the Champions League in Italy starting from 2021 through 2024.

As reported by Milano Finanza, after securing the rights to some of the matches in the English Premier League and German Bundesliga in recent years, Amazon is said to be pushing to secure a deal the most, as they continue to try to enter the Italian market.
