Lazio have loaned 20-year-old Italian defender Luca Falbo to Serie C side U.S. Viterbese 1908 for the 2020/21 season.
Born in 2000, the youngster joined Lazio from Roma’s Youth Academy in the summer of 2017. Impressing in the youth ranks since then, Simone Inzaghi took note of his talent this season; as a result, he allowed the player to make his debut for the first team in the UEFA Europa League against Ligue 1 side Rennes (12.12.2019).
While Falbo has spent most of the 2019/20 season with the club’s Primavera side, due to the new rules that were implemented with regards to substitutions and each team’s squad size (due to COVID-19), Inzaghi decided to keep him with the first team at the end of the 2019/20 season. He made his Serie A debut against Juventus in Matchday 34.
It is important to note that Falbo recently renewed his contract with Lazio (until 30.06.2020).
