Following reports that have been circling in the media, mentioning the possibility of a Della Valle family takeover of the club, Unione Sportiva Salernitana 1919 have released an official statement by which they deny any sort of negotiations regarding this rumour.
U.S. Salernitana 1919, as already communicated on September 22, 2020, reiterates that the reports concerning an alleged corporate transfer by the Della Valle family do not have any basis. The club, therefore, invites the media to verify the veracity of such information. Failing to do so will result in U.S. Salernitana 1919 being forced to take legal action in order to protect its image.
As it stands, Lazio President Claudio Lotito and Marco Mezzaroma are the two chairman of the Granata. However, following protests against management from majority of the Salernitana fan base, rumours started to build regarding Lotito wanting to sell his stake in the club. For now, these rumours seem to have come to an end, but it seems only a matter of time before the Biancocelesti businessman indeed sells his ownership in the club…
