Lazio Midfielder Luis Alberto Announces Negative Covid-19 Test

Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto has announced that he has tested negative for Covid-19 in an Instagram story earlier today.

The 28-year-old Spaniard, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2025, announced the negative test on his Instagram story, with his wife also testing negative for the virus.

The player first posted a photo of himself on the pitch with a winking emoji, hinting towards a return to Simone Inzaghi’s squad.

Luis Alberto had been playing well at the start of the season, scoring one goal in his first six appearances across all competitions, before testing positive for Covid last month.

He missed two Champions League games against Club Brugge and Zenit, as well as the Roman side’s thrilling 4-3 comeback win over Torino on the weekend.

Inzaghi and the Spaniard will now both be hoping for his availability for the upcoming league clash against reigning champions Juventus on the weekend.

The Bianconeri are currently 3rd in the league table, four points behind league leaders AC Milan.
