Formello: Lazio Squad Undergo COVID-19 Test Ahead of League Clash With Juventus

The Lazio squad underwent a new series of Covid-19 tests this morning in Formello as they continued preparations for the upcoming league clash against Juventus, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how many players were absent from training on the pitch today, including Thomas Strakosha, Denis Vavro, Manuel Lazzari, Lucas Leiva, Gonzalo Escalante, Luis Alberto, Djavan Anderson, Senad Lulic and Ciro Immobile.

Luis Alberto tested negative for Covid yesterday but must follow the necessary protocols before returning to squad training. The squad underwent tests at 9am this morning, with results being available tomorrow, ahead of Sunday’s meeting with the Bianconeri.

Today’s training consisted of a warm-up, followed by ball possession exercises and a reduced pitch match, not featuring the starters from the Champions League clash with Zenit. Stefan Radu continues his work making a full recovery and took part in the entire session, whilst Patric trained individually.
