Lazio Attacker Joaquin Correa Called up by Argentina

Lazio attacker Joaquin Correa has been called up by Argentina to take part in the South American nation’s two upcoming World Cup Qualifier matches.

The first match (against Paraguay) is set to take place at the Estadio Alberto J. Armando on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 19:00 (EST); the second match (against Peru) is set to take place at the Estadio Nacional on Tuesday November 17, 2020 at 19:30 (EST).

Since making his debut for Argentina in June 2017 against Brazil (in a 1-0 victory), Correa has secured four other caps at the international level; against Singapore (June 2017), Uruguay (September 2017), Chile (September 2019), and Bolivia (October 2020). Over this period, he has scored two goals and played a total of 178 minutes.

As it stands, Argentina are currently tied in first place with Brazil with a record of 2W-0D-0L (6 points). Paraguay sits in fourth position with a record of 1W-1D-0L (4 points) and Peru sits in eighth position with a record of 0W-1D-1L (1 point).
