Lazio Coach Simone Inzaghi Restarts Contract Renewal Talks With President Lotito

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi is in talks with president Claudio Lotito regarding a new contract, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Il Messaggero.

The report details how the 44-year-old Italian, who has been in charge of the Biancocelesti squad since 2016, has remained calm regarding a contract renewal, first wanting to wait for the transfer window and then the start of the season. His current deal expires at the end of this season.

With the Roman club’s success so far this season, Inzaghi is again the clear hero of the team, showing his importance to the Biancocelesti.

In recent days Lotito and the coach have restarted talks regarding a new contract, and important news could come out before Christmas, if not even earlier.

Since taking over as Lazio coach, Inzaghi has guided the club to two Supercoppa Italiana trophies, as well as a Coppa Italia in the 2018/19 season. Last season, the 44-year-old Italian managed to guide the Roman side back into the Champions League, after a 13 year absence.
