Former Lazio center-back, Pino Wilson, recently commented on the upcoming fixture between Lazio and Juventus. The two teams are due to meet on Sunday, at the Stadio Olimpico, at 12.30 pm.
Wilson, famously, captained Lazio in 1974, the season in which the club won the Scudetto. Speaking to Radio Incontro Olympia, the current television presenter had this to say about Lazio’s next opponents.
I saw Juventus’ Champions League match. They did not play against very good opposition. The Bianconeri’s problems are not resolved by a victory against a team like Ferencvaros.
In spite of this, Wilson knows that Lazio’s chances against the current champions hinge on having the team’s main players be fit for the game.
If we start the game with our most important players, then I don’t think there will be any problems. But, we can’t afford to miss out on four or five players.
Asked to comment on the best-attacking pairing for Lazio, Wilson remains conservative.
The attacking duo against Juventus? Caicedo is doing really well, but if I were in Inzaghi’s shoes I would always decide on starting with Immobile and Correa.
