Lazio Close to Having a Full Strength Midfield With 8 Fit Players, Italian Media Detail

Lazio have not had a full-strength midfield since the start of the season, but soon will have eight players to fill three roles, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Radiosei earlier today.

The report details how the Biancocelesti are close to fully recovering all their midfielders, with eight players ready to fill three roles.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro, Marco Paolo, Lucas Leiva, Danilo Cataldi, Gonzalo Escalante, Luis Alberto and Andreas Pereira are the players available currently to fill the three spots in midfield.

So far, the first two have played the most, with nine appearances each, whilst the others have rotated in and out, depending on injuries and Covid-19 test results.

Escalante will meet with the medial team this week to discuss his condition, and Lucas Leiva is expected to fully return by Wednesday.

The others are all ready, although it remains to be seen if Luis Alberto will be allowed to face Crotone this weekend, after his recent social media outburst.
