Tyro Nimmermeer is a highly promising Dutch talent who currently plays for Lazio’s Primavera team.
Today, the young striker spoke to Voetebalzone about his experience in the Italian capital, and how this has already made him more mature.
I’m in the last year with the youth squad. It’s an exciting time. I can say that I have become much more mature here. I learned to live abroad as a young boy and this made me stronger.
Nimmermeer then commented about his greatest competitor for a spot in Lazio’s senior squad.
Ciro Immobile is one of my main competitors if I want to find a place in the first team. There are also many other strong and experienced forwards in the squad such as Felipe Caicedo and Vedat Muriqi. However, I feel that I am getting closer to their level.
The youngster also talked candidly about what the future is likely to hold for him as a footballer.
I train regularly with the first team, so at least I know that they still see something in me. If there are no offers from Lazio, I will examine those arriving at the moment. For now, I will focus only on the club, on the matches with the Primavera, and on training sessions with the senior squad. I feel that I am improving every day.
