Some of Lazio Squad to Attend Hearings With FIGC This Week

Some Lazio players will be attending hearings with the FIGC to discuss the recent Covid-19 testing drama, according to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei earlier today.

The report details how some of the Biancocelesti squad will need to discuss how positive Covid cases were handled and how the isolation took place.

The issue that Prosecutor Chinè is focusing on concerns the lack of communication between the Roman side and the Local Health Authority after the first cases of Covid appeared in the squad, as well as the team’s behaviour after UEFA’s tests returned positive before the Champions League clash against Zenit.

The Avellino Prosecutor’s Office’s investigation is still ongoing and this week they will receive the final report of the 95 tests carried out by Lazio ahead of their league clash against Juventus.

To date, only one person is a suspect, Massimiliano Taccone of Futura Diagnostica, the Italian laboratory in charge of Lazio’s Covid-19 tests.
