Lazio Striker Ciro Immobile to Undergo Another COVID-19 Test Today, Italian Media Detail

Lazio striker Ciro Immobile will undergo his 6th Covid-19 test in recent weeks ahead of the Biancocelesti’s league clash against Crotone this weekend, according to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei earlier today.

The report details how the 30-year-old Italian forward, who is contracted to the Roman club until 2025, has carried out multiple tests for Lazio, the Italian national team and two privately, as he looks to make his return to the pitch.

Immobile has missed three games so far this season due to a positive Covid-19 diagnosis, including two Champions League clashes against Club Brugge and Zenit St. Petersburg.

The 30-year-old Lazio striker is hoping to test negative so he can return to training this week, ahead of the game against the Rossoblu this weekend.

The other Lazio players underwent a round of tests yesterday and will do more both tomorrow and Friday, in order to ensure that all players attending do not have the contagion.
